Nate turns 7

When he woke up the morning of his birthday, the first words out of his mouth were:
"Yeah, Now I don't have to lie."
This is funny, he really doesn't lie much,
but for the entire month prior to his birthday he told people he was already 7.
Now he really is!!

I suprised him by making this shirt for him to wear to school, on the back it said: "I am 7"
It didn't take long for Nathaniel to become a Tennessee Fan!
And NO Roy does not approve!!!!
This is Nathaniel's teacher giving him his birthday spankings!

Tiny Talk Tuesday

Kayla's Angel Encounter

Last night Kayla (age 5) got sick in the middle of the night, so I let her sleep in my room. I remember slightly her saying something about angels, but I was in a deep sleep. Then this morning on my way to work with Nathaniel in the car this was our conversation. (Kayla stayed home sick)

Nathaniel: Hey mom, guess what? Kayla saw angels last night.
Mom: How do you know?
Nathaniel: Kayla told me this morning.
Mom: When?
Nathaniel: While you were getting dressed.
Mom: Ok, cool!!!

So right when I got home I was dying to ask Kayla about her "Angel Encounter"
Here is our conversation:

Mom: Kayla tell me what you saw last night, so I can tell everyone what happened.

Kayla: When I was sick I saw the angels right in my mommy's bed. They were white, and I tried to catch one to put in heaven. And I blew a kiss to them like this. (did the motions of blowing a kiss). It was very cool, my eyes were open I tried to wake mommy up and she did not wake up, well alittle she woke up and saw the angles alittle. (I just said Yeah, Kayla, Wow, then went back to sleep.) With their magic they made two angles. I love God and the angles. It was my very first time I saw the angles.

Mom: Why were they there?
Kayla: They were checking if we had any tooth under the pillows.

Mom: Was it a dream?

Kayla: No

Mom: How do you know?

Kayla: Cause I was awake and I saw real angles and they were tiny.
I love God and the angels.

Kayla: Done. Let's send this message to everybody in the whole wide world that we know.

More of Him Monday

Blessed Because of Christ

Do you know what the Lord has done in my life?
Too many things to name. My prayer is that I do not get so caught up in my daily life, with Bikes, Easter Eggs, Sports, etc... that I fail to mention How Good God is.

Back in 1985 I received Him as My Lord and Savior at the Age of 6. I realized I was a sinner and no one could make me feel forgiven and clean inside except Him. At that point I never knew how much of a part He would play in my life. Since that day on, He walked me through every problem and situation I've encountered. Tough Stuff Happens, But He is always THERE!!!!

When I was 18, I was in a car accident where the passenger in my car, a dear friend Amber died. That was tough, but the Lord spared my life, and gave me the strength to go on!

Then in 2006, He spared my sons life. Click here to read more on Miracle Boy Nathaniel .

Then one year later, January 2008 I became very ill. Doctors told me I could of died. Sometimes, I try to play like it wasn't really that bad. But it was, and guess who healed me? God! He is so Powerful and So GOOD!!!!!!

The Lord is my healer!
The Lord is my strength!
The Lord is my provider!
He heals the blind! (Nathaniel)
He mends the broken hearted!
He delivers us!
He does so much for us, like I said, I could go on and on and on and on.....

I pray I got my point across of how MIGHTY and GOOD God is!
No matter what you are facing in life...He is able! More than able!

The Lord has a plan for my life and for yours and that is to live for Him and give Him 100%. But the question today is, Have I been given Him my ALL? Regretfully, No.

My prayer is that I put Him FIRST in my life, as He has done so much for me!!!!

I am who I am, Because of Christ!!! Without Him I am nothing!

I want More of Him everyday, and my goal is to really make that happen.
I will enjoy More of Him on Mondays through this great link with others!
I have also committed to spend more time with him through the bible study "My Beloved Disciple" by Beth More. I hope to share some of the things the Lord is teaching me in this study. Check back Next Monday!!
